The Tamron 500mm f8 SP Tele Macro is a telephoto mirror lens that delivers ultra-telephoto results while remaining incredibly compact and lightweight. Owing to its use of mirrors instead of solid glass optics, this 500mm lens is a fraction of the size of most telephoto lenses, while offering even greater reach. Due to its unique design it has a constant f8 aperture, with exposure largely controlled through use of shutter speed or film ISO.
What is more, this is an Adaptall lens. The Tamron Adaptall lenses have interchangeable lens mounts, allowing any of their lenses to be easily adapter to a variety of camera systems. You can share one nice Tamron lens between your Canon, Nikon and Pentax cameras if you want!
